General Information & Studio Rules
1.) Our 2017-2018 classes for both competitive and recreational students will start Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at our MONACA location and Monday, September 11, 2017 at our CENTER location.
2.) We will be having a Christmas Dance Showcase December 21, 2017. We will NOT have a formal dance concert at the end of the 2017-2018 dance season.
3.) We usually hold a "Visitors' Week" at the end the year; this will give parents a chance to video tape and to see their child's progress.
4.) Be on time for classes. Please arrive 10 minutes before the beginning of dance class to allow time to change clothes and shoes and use the restroom.
5.) Proper dance and acrobatics attire is very important; please follow the dress code.
6.) All DANCE students should wear a dance leotard, dance tights, and have proper dance shoes. Leather soled ballet shoes are required; no bedroom slippers please. Hair should be pulled away from the face, either in a bun or ponytail.
7.) All ACRO students may wear their choice and combination of any of the following: leotard, sports bra or cami, dance shorts, or leggings. Bare feet only. Hair must be pulled up and back away from the face. This is to help ensure the safety of the student.
8.) No excessive jewelry. Small post earrings are okay. No jewelry in acro classes please.
9.) Chewing gum is not permitted during any class.
10.) Only water will be allowed in the dance studios.
11.) Do not wear dance shoes outside.
12.) Please pick children up on time. We can not be responsible for your child after their class.
13.) To prevent class disruption, no younger siblings are allowed in the studio area while classes are going on.
14.) Monthly tuition payments are due no later than the first class of every month. There will be a $10.00 late fee for all tuition payments not made within this time period.
15.) Tuition checks should be made payable to Rhythms In Motion. Please put all tuition checks in the tuition envelopes that are available at the front desk. Should you choose to pay for tuition with cash, please request a receipt. We also accept Visa and Mastercard for tuition payments.
16.) No refund or deduction will be made for missed classes.
17.) Students in our Pre-School, Kinderdance, and Pre-dance classes have the option to make up a missed class. If for any reason your child is unable to attend their regularly scheduled weekly class, she/he may attend another class (at the same level) instead. It is NOT mandatory that a child makes a class up, and this is left to the parent's discretion. Please call the studio in advance so that we may add your child to the daily roster.
18.) There will be a $25.00 charge for NSF checks.
19.) There is a bulletin board in the lobby of the Monaca location (we hope to have one installed in time for our Center location's grand opening). Important information will be posted monthly. It is a good idea to get into the habit of checking the bulletin board at the beginning of each month so you can stay up-to-date.
20.) Parking is available on street only at our Monaca location. There is a parking lot to park in at our Center location.
